The Trust Education Foundation, Inc.
Consisting of the nation’s premier financial institutions, the Board of Directors of the Trust Education Foundation ensures that trust graduates hold every conceivable competitive advantage in their field. In addition to curriculum review and the funding of over 25 scholarships for trust majors over the years, the Foundation has become a leading provider of continuing education for trust professionals nationwide by sponsoring the Trust Advisors Forum and the Southeastern Trust School, and by offering in-house training for numerous major financial institutions around the country.
The Trust Education Foundation, Inc. (TEF) was formed in 1971 with a mission to support Campbell’s Trust and Wealth Management Program. With a Board of Directors composed of senior managers from the nation’s premier financial institutions, the Foundation supports the Trust Program by providing curriculum oversight to ensure students are exposed to cutting edge instruction in the areas of fiduciary law, tax planning, financial planning, investment management, estate planning and in trust and estate administration.
The Foundation sponsors educational programs around the country to help fulfill its mission. Two of the biggest educational programs offered include:
The foundation’s flagship program, the Trust Advisor’s Forum is held at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina every February. In a typical year approximately 250 senior trust officers from 30 states, representing 110 institutions, will attend the four-day educational program. For over 25 years the Forum has been the nation’s foremost conference for trust professionals.
Founded in 1967, SETS originated as a program for bank trust officers and retains a strong focus on the trust industry. It also offers value to managers and other employees of investment companies, brokerages, accounting and law firms, retirement plan providers and benefits administrators.
Over 25 scholarships have been fully funded by the Foundation. In addition, thanks to the Foundation’s commitment to promoting Campbell Trust, major financial institutions from across the country actively recruit on campus at Campbell Business to fill a variety of trust and wealth management positions each year.
The Trust Education Foundation offers a website which has become a tremendous resource for the industry and affords our graduates an excellent opportunity to network. The website contains:
- Information about the Trust Program
- An online placement bulletin featuring intern candidates and permanent hire candidates
- An opportunity for trust alumni to network using LinkedIn
- An online Technical Issues Forum where trust professionals can post questions and inquiries open to response by others within the industry.
