Advice for First-Year Students: Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! Remember that every first-year student is in the same boat. College is a unique experience that all should take advantage of. Be yourself and get involved.

First-year Advice: Learn how to study correctly! Many college courses require you to retain knowledge both later in the semester and in future courses. Cramming the night before an exam may have worked in high school, but it will not help in the long run.

Advice to your first-year self: One piece of advice I would give to myself would be to try new things with an open mind. Over the past few years, I’ve tried a few things that I went into that I thought I was going to hate but I stayed open-minded and loved it.
