Our Mentoring programs are an integral part of what fit and calling look like in the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business. We believe that the best leaders instill confidence in others and guide them as they move toward personal growth and goals. Our Peer Mentors are here to help guide and support our first-year students.

Something unique about you: I worked at carowinds the last 2 years. I am a member of club Spikeball, I also missed only 1 or 2 sporting events. 

Janjay Gardea

Favorite college class so far: Intro to Christianity – I felt free to express my thoughts, concerns, & questions about Christianity. 

McKenzie Hedrick

Advice for first-year students: Don’t be afraid to engage in conversations with others; you nver know what new friendships might bring!

Advice for first-year students: Ask for help! There are resources and people around campus who are happy to help you with whatever problems you are struggling with – tutors, success coaches, professors, and peers that you can lean on.

On-campus involvement: Student Accountant Society, student worker @ LFSB ! also, I attend a nearby church and am a part of a Bible study group there.

What do you do for fun: I really like to play volleyball, go hiking, paint, read, bake, and spending time with family

Advice for first-year students: Be yourself, don’t act fake. Campus involvement is a huge way to build community and make friends (often a free shirt is involved!).

Advice for First-Year Students: Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! Remember that every first-year student is in the same boat. College is a unique experience that all should take advantage of. Be yourself and get involved.
